Change!
A tool for evaluating behaviour change

Does involving local people in community action lead to them having more sustainable lifestyles?
Community engagement is increasingly being used as a way of changing behaviour so we can tackle climate change. But how do we know whether our projects are effective in bringing about change towards sustainable lifestyles? WWF and CAG Consultants have been developing an evaluation tool to measure this outcome from community projects. This website shares our tools and ideas with others working in the field.

How the tool can benefit you

CAG and WWF-UK have worked with many organisations develop the tool, this is what they said the tool can do:
 |
“The Change! tool gave us the information we needed for funders to show our work is effective.” |
 |
“The Change! tool helps us to think about how to design a project and what changes we are expecting to achieve.” |
 |
“The Change! tool complements carbon reduction measurement by demonstrating where changes in behaviour are occurring, even where these might not yet be showing as carbon reduction outputs.” |
Behaviour change is complex; we believe that by using the Change! tool, you will be able to gain clarity about what is working well and less well in your projects, so together we can tackle climate change.
